Rules of UK Muay-Thai

One of the most important lessons in any martial art is that of self restraint and discipline whilst combined with the ability to take action when required. All students must abide by the following rules and disciplines when training at Bolton Muay Thai Kick Boxing Club A.K.A. Bolton Thai Boxing Club proudly established in 1983.

A breach of the following rules will be penalised by:

Punishment

Suspension or banned

4.

Given length of time

Special awards to be given annually for:

1.

Respect and good conduct

2.

Demonstration of good conduct

3.

Trainee Instructor and Instructor

4.

Class of fighter

5.

Promoter

6.

Officer

All Students will be expected to abide by the following:

1.

Uniforms MUST be worn according to individual camp colours and MUST be kept in a clean condition.

2.

Respect MUST be given to Masters and Instructors and they must be called as 'Master' or 'Arjan,' 'Instructor' or 'Kru.'

3.

Students MUST stand to attention when being spoken to or speaking to Masters or Instructors.

4.

No valuable things to be worn during training, for example, rings, watches, necklace etc.

5.

Wai (bow) MUST be made:

  • When entering and leaving training room
  • Joining the class
  • To masters and instructors
  • To partners for training
  • All seniors
  • When foul blows are delivered to partners during training

6.

No smoking is allowed in the presence of Masters or Instructors, not at all for fighters

7.

No consumption of alcohol before training, not at all for fighters

8.

No swearing or bad behaviour

9.

Students MUST obtain permission to leave the training room during training

10.

Students are NOT ALLOWED to train in any other Martial Arts without permission of their Masters and Instructors

11.

Derogatory remarks are not to be spoken against other martial arts and proper respect must be given to them.

12.

All students MUST conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner

13.

Students MUST train regularly, if there are any serious problems they must report to the Masters or Instructors, otherwise they may not be allowed to train again

14.

Students may not use Muay-Thai for the wrong purpose, which is against law and order.
